Skyscraper City – Now Live!
We are super-excited to announce the official launch of our very first game as a company, Skyscraper City.
Skyscraper City represents a lot of work. Rather than going the normal HTML5 game route and doing something “lite” quickly, we wanted to prove the full promise of HTML5. So we built a full-on citybuilding game with an isometric engine, a shop, a quest system, level progressions, a drop system, mobs, etc.
Whew! We’re very pleased with the results. We feel that SC represents a great demo of what HTML5 can do — here’s a game that rivals anything Zynga puts out, it’s fun, it’s unique, and you can play it how you want to across a variety of devices with an HTML5 browser. So you can finally play social games how you want to, for example checking in on your phone and cleaning up your city and collecting things when you have a few moments. That’s something that’s just not possible in big Flash games like Cityville or Ravenwood Fair.
We’ll be monitoring the game’s progress, making tweaks, and of course adding new content and features. And we’re also starting work on two new games with a focus on mobile and cross-platform play.
Busy times.
